Many things can be hanging around on your computer since the day you got it. Cleaning off all the advertising, extra manufacturer software, and the junk that has been installing along with all the programs you intended to put on can make the computer run faster.

You can also use the Trend Micro Housecall which scans your computer by connecting from online or via a download. Sometimes more damage can be done from removing malware than you anticipate. We would be happy to come to you, look at your computer, and evaluate the best plan of action if you think something is wrong. Sometimes it is a combination of several small things that can be cleaned up and make the whole system run better than new.
Another program that does an excellent job of rooting out rootkit and other trojan type malware is Hitman Pro. It can be downloaded for free home use to get a second opinion.
